Ambika´s Path of Life and Healing

My journey has been one of transformation through dance, yoga, and sacred earth practices. Following a deep inner calling, I embraced the healing arts, weaving ancient wisdom with my dedication to guiding others toward healing and self-discovery.

AMBIKA RIVER ANNA -LUISE

Early Life and Childhood
I was born in East Berlin, Germany, in February 1982, seven years before the fall of the Berlin Wall. I lived through that change of reality on all planes, experiencing it through the heart and eyes of a child. Growing up without a father, I was supported by my two sisters, my mother, and the genuine care of my grandparents in both matter and spirit. Between the ages of 1 and 3, I experienced severe illness and spent many weeks alone in the hospital, undergoing a big operation and many painful treatments.

The Call to Dance
At 12, I left home to follow the call I had heard since I was very young—the call to dance and become a “real” dancer. I lived in a boarding school for four years, surrounded by girls, where I began my healing journey through dance and sisterhood, integrating and expressing myself. At 16, I lived in my first home, and by 17, I moved to the Netherlands to complete my studies at the Rotterdam Dance Academy, where I received my diploma.

At 19, I started my professional life as a freelance contemporary dancer and performer in the Netherlands. Simultaneously, I began my committed path in Yoga studies, first with Vinyasa Yoga in 2001, and by 2003, I took a deep dive into Kundalini Yoga. These practices became intertwined with my work as a dancer.

Ambika

With my first earnings at age 20, I traveled to Israel to meet the spirit of the land and the people. The desert’s silence and night sky touched me deeply, igniting a process of remembering. At 21, I traveled alone to India for 2.5 months, visiting sacred temples, rivers, and sites, and following the guidance of my intuition. India opened a wave of profound life changes, which continued as I worked as an artist in Europe. A love I met in India invited me to Africa, opening a new chapter of soul memories. Africa brought me beauty, mystery, pain, and gratitude in a way only Mama Africa can teach.

Motherhood and Healing Path
In 2007, I revisited India, where I discovered I was pregnant while walking the streets of Varanasi and the mountains around Dharamsala. I canceled all my projects to welcome my son Orlando Tayao into the world at 25. Motherhood opened a new chapter of healing and unlearning, a woman’s way of becoming, re-rooting, and healing the “mother’s wound.” I created spaces for people of all ages to heal and communicate through dance, movement, and yoga, working with children in refugee homes and beyond.

Earth Medicine and Spiritual Teachings
In 2012/2013, after the death of my biological father and the separation from Orlando’s father, I invited the wisdom of earth medicines into my life. Fire walking, sweat lodges, and master plant meditations with indigenous guides deepened my connection to the Spirit of the Lotusheart Meditation—a healing field born through Harald Lotusheart Gaertner. I embarked on Vision Quests, including three in Israel by the Jordan River and one in Costa Rica in 2024. These experiences connected me to the ancient lineages of Womb Priestesses, Moon Priestesses, and Medicine Women who walked this earth.

After my first Vision Quest in 2015, I underwent a one-month Womb Awakening initiation journey with Seren & Azra Bertrand, founders of Fountain of Life and authors of Womb Awakening. Between 2015-2020, I participated in online Goddess Sadhanas with hundreds of women, feeling the awakening of the World Wide Web of Wombs. I bow deeply to the women who opened these pathways and kept them alive.

Transition to Healing Work
In 2019, after 18 years as a freelance dancer, I left the artistic world behind to fully commit to the healing path. I began co-creating the Prayers of the Lotusheart with Harald, bringing the dance to the prayer and healing circles. In this transition, I also met the Yawanawa Tribe from the Amazon Rainforest. From 2017-2019, I worked with them during their healing retreats in Berlin, and in 2020, I followed the call to the Amazon, where I underwent a one-month Yawanawa Dieta in Mutum.

Since 2017, I have joined forces with Harald Lotusheart in love, life, and prayer. Together, we co-create the Prayers of the Lotusheart, serving in Europe, Israel, Egypt, and Costa Rica. In 2022, we birthed the Lotusheart Motherland in Costa Rica—a refuge in the rainforest dedicated to healing, ethnobotanical knowledge, and living in harmony with the natural elements.

A New Chapter in Costa Rica
Since 2022, we have been guided by a crystal-clear river, flowing through our land in the Lotusheart Garden. The sacred waters have been our teachers, singing their song as we continue our journey of healing. In this moment, we are moondancing with our family in Austria and Italy, carrying prayers for healing and transformation on all planes.

A Bridge Between Worlds
Our intention is to build a bridge between the worlds, weaving love, life, family, and prayers in old Europe, while following the call for a New Earth Reality. This life is embraced by the vital power of the elements, pure untouched water flowing, and the wild spirit of the forests and mountains in Costa Rica.

Present Moment
Here and now, I listen as much as I can in this moment of life. Exhaling, getting ready for the next deep inhalation, a new chapter begins.
Thank you for it all. Thank you for listening.
